Every summer, the Magic host a Skill Development Summer Camp, details of which are below. Dates are posted in May.
Description: This intense, 4 day skill development camp is open to players that are committed to working extremely hard to improve their basketball skills. For those who have attended our skills night, think of summer camp as skills night supersized! The camp will last approximately four hours a day and is a great way for players to improve their skills and get ready for fall AAU and their winter seasons. At camp, coaches have more time to break down skills and concepts, allowing players to improve their basketball skills. Some highlights of the camp:
Coaching ratio will be no greater than 8:1.
Skill development will be the focus of the camp-stations and small game situations will be used to teach the basic concepts of basketball. Players will also receive a comprehensive written evaluation, including a workout program to improve.
Players will receive a camp t-shirt.
